Last week, 25 kids from the mentorship program attended a birthday party to celebrate the students with birthdays in the first half of the year. In December, the group will celebrate the students with birthdays during the latter months of the year. The group had a piñata, put on a play, sang and danced, and had lunch together.
Families affiliated with Common Hope often don’t have the resources to throw birthday parties for their children. Because of this, the mentorship and youth programs at Common Hope throw a group celebration so kids have a chance to celebrate and have some fun.
