Staff reading group

Jacqueline, our new Promoter of Reading and Creativity at the Antigua library, has started a staff reading group. The idea is that to promote a culture of literacy, you have to read yourself. Staff members meet Tuesdays and Thursdays during the 10 o’clock coffee break, during which Jacqueline selects short poems for staff to read and discuss. The reading group usually meets in the library, but on the day pictured they didn’t, because the library was getting a fresh coat of paint.

You can see photos from Jacqueline’s story hour with Common Hope students here.
