Youth Programs kick off the school year with a full schedule of activities

The Antigua Youth Support program has kicked off the new school year, and over the past few weeks students have participated in a variety of different activities aimed at improving grades, lessening the probability of drop-outs, and increasing self-esteem and critical thinking abilities.

Last week, students spent time giving back to the local community by painting at the national hospital.

In addition to the ongoing weekly youth group activities, students now also have the opportunity to participate in a leadership group, a “study club,” and music classes taught by Step By Step, a band made up of former Common Hope affiliates.

Participation levels are already high, and with such a range of activities to choose from we expect them to increase even more over the coming months!
