On Friday June 20, our friends at Target hosted a wonderful event at their corporate headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. Four of our Common Hope staffers attended the event and gave a short presentation for approximately 35 volunteers in attendance. Then the volunteers got to work, filling school bags with all of the donated supplies. They also wrote notes of encouragement to the students in Spanish and English, which were included in every bag.
For the weeks leading up to the event, the LBGTA and Hispanic Business Councils went to work collecting school supplies. They had a goal of collecting enough supplies for every student at New Hope School in grades 1st through 6th. They went above and beyond, not only collecting more than enough supplies, but also putting together such a fun volunteer event.
Muchas gracias to Chris Villegas, Ana Trejo, Miguel Padilla, and the the LBGTA and Hispanic Business Councils for all of your hard work! We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to Target and all of the wonderful volunteers who came to support Common Hope on Friday. We sincerely appreciate it!
