5th Annual Common Hope Golf Classic a resounding success

It has been over a month since our 5th Annual Common Hope Golf Classic on August 4th, and we are still feeling the tremendous impact of its success. Here are some of the major highlights that we’re proud to share with you:

  • We had 24 people sign up as child sponsors, surpassing our goal of finding 18 new sponsorships! Thank you so much to those of you who felt compelled to become sponsors. You are making a significant impact in your student’s life. Two of those sponsors walked home with a brand new Taylor Made driver and a brand new Toro lawnmower.
  • We raised over $57,000, drastically surpassing last year’s totals. Truly amazing!
  • The winning team shot 59 (13 under).
  • The last place team shot 86 (taking the “bogey is your friend” rule to heart) but still won a prize!

During the dinner program, our host Rich Gannon shared his experience traveling to Guatemala with Common Hope to meet his sponsor child Oswaldo and Oswaldo’s family.  His story was compelling, passionate, and a true highlight of the event. Common Hope would like to extend a warm thank you to Rich and his family for their continued support and dedication.

The success of this year’s tournament is credited to each one of the volunteers, golfers, committee members, child sponsors, and tournament sponsors. What we achieved would not have been possible without you. Together we did something spectacular for the families we serve in Guatemala.

And last, but not least, thank you to these generous tournament sponsors:
