As we get closer to the end of the year, the time comes to say goodbye to a fabulous group of volunteers…

Teresa has left a mark on the youth with her leadership, creativity and artistic abilities.

Lauren has been an inspiration for the visiting groups by inviting them to experience and reflect. She has also demonstrated her gift of deep human connection.

Keara has worked hard and compassionately, providing our families with decent housing and supporting us during Erin’s maternity leave.

Morgan has combined her extremely structured mind with her love for people as a means to be an effective leader loved by all our groups.

And Rachel has made the most of her professionalism and her correct criteria in order to give memorable experiences to short-term volunteers, and in order to support our affiliated families count on dental services.

Please join us in thanking our volunteers during their final days at work. We will miss them greatly!

Once her time with Familias de Esperanza comes to end, Morgan will be staying in Antigua to work for Faith in Practice, another NGO that seeks to improve the physical, spiritual, and economic conditions of the poor in Guatemala through short-term surgical, medical and dental mission trips and health-related educational programs. Teresa is staying with Common Hope and will be taking over the Sponsorship Coordinator position at the US office.

Teresa, Lauren, Keara, Morgan, and Rachel – Lisa summed up your contributions beautifully. You have all left your mark on this organization and on the many lives you’ve touched during your time in Guatemala. We sincerely thank you for all that you have done. You will be greatly missed. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
