I prefer to be called Miguel since my father is also named José. He is a farmer and we also raise several animals like goats, rabbits and ducks. I am 12 years old and looking for a sponsor that encourages me to stay in school when I may be pulled to help my father more.
There have been health issues in my family the last few years. I’m so grateful that we have Common Hope as they have helped with providing food for my family during this time. I am 12 years old and a sponsor will be part of the successes and challenges my entire family will go through.
I have been part of the Common Hope program since 2nd grade. I have passed all of my classes and am currently studying in 6th grade. The wait for a sponsor has been a long one and I hope that someone will encourage me and write me letters as I continue to study in school.
In January, I received my new school supplies from Common Hope for the upcoming year. I will be attending classes in the afternoon at the local junior high. It will be tough this year being in a different school and having harder classes, but I hope that a sponsor will be the encouragement I need.
