Volunteers help give the Antigua Day Care Center a makeover

Steve Brown, a long-time volunteer and friend of Common Hope, helped spearhead the renovation of the Antigua Day Care Center play area. Steve worked with four Vision Teams over the course of about six weeks to carry out the project of bringing more color and life to the play area.

We want to give a special thank you to the Governor’s Academy, Rotary District 7040-Interact, University of Minnesota-Learning Abroad Center, and Mount Olive Lutheran Church Vision Teams for all the time they spent painting, building, and planting to make the play area more enjoyable for the children at the Day Care Center. It’s wonderful to see the kids playing in the newly remodeled area. The Day Care staff is also enjoying the new space as it gives them a great opportunity to teach the children about caring for nature. Watering the flowers has become a fun activity that they can all participate in together!
