¡TREINTA! Noche de Colores in Chicago grosses $30,000

On November 17, our friends in the Chicago area hosted ¡TREINTA! Noche de Colores at Sunset Ridge in Winnetka. It was a wonderful celebration of 30 years of service to Guatemala, and we are so grateful to the committee who organized the event on Common Hope’s behalf. A special thanks to Katie Begley and Xerxes Bhote, who chaired the event and put in many hours to make the evening such a success.

Along with celebrating our 30th anniversary, Common Hope honored two very special people, Joe and Leslie Shank. Over the years, the Shanks have dedicated a lot of time and resources to advocating on Common Hope’s behalf, from book drives to leading Vision Team trips to Guatemala. Thank you Joe and Leslie for all you have done to further our mission!

There were over 100 Common Hope friends in attendance and together, guests raised more than $30,000 for Common Hope’s Education Program and library needs. We would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt generosity and for making our work in Guatemala possible. The evening was a delightful tribute to good friends and good work!
