I currently live with my grandmother, who approached Common Hope to help receive support for my education since she is unable to afford to send me to school. I am in 3rd grade this year and will be turning 10 in August. We live in a house that has steel siding and dirt floor.
My brother, José, is also part of this gallery and we are both in need of a sponsor. My family is new to Common Hope and I am new to going to school. I am 4 years old and studying in kindergarten. In Guatemala, kindergarten precedes preschool.
My parents, younger sister and I live in the community of San Rafael. There I study in 1st grade and like learning about letters and numbers. My family does not own the land we live on and our house is made out of cornstalks, a steel roof and a dirt floor.
I recently was sponsored by a member of Faith Lutheran and I am so excited that they will support me and my dream of becoming a Business Administrator!
