My family lives in the community of San Rafael where my father works as a farmer. I am in kindergarten this year. I like playing with my toy tea set and my favorite color is purple.

What I enjoy doing the most at school is solving addition problems and studying geography. When I grow up I was to be a firefighter, builder, scientist, or doctor. I want to study hard in order to help my family more in the future so that they can have a safe place to live.
I dropped out of school when I was in 2nd grade but I am attending school again and have shown our Common Hope social worker that I am motivated! This year I am studying in 5th grade, and I like participating in the singing activities at school. I will be 14 on October 19th.
Even with the pain my dad suffers in his back, he continues to work as a carpenter. At 10 years old, I know that one day I would like to follow in his footsteps and become a carpenter, too. But first I need to graduate from high school. I am studying in 4th grade.
As a single parent, my mom works as a baker along with raising me and my younger sister. My mom only makes $50/month, so she asked Common Hope for help with sending me to school. Her dream is to see me graduate. My dream is to become a pilot because I love airplanes.
I am in 10th grade, studying Early Childhood Education, and I have two years left of high school. If I continue to do well in school I will be the first in my family to graduate with a high school diploma. I will turn 19 on September 9th.
