The Helicopter Ball Drop, sponsored by Canetani Vacation Properties, is back! First prize is $1,000 and second prize is $500. Tickets are $25 each.
Tickets can be purchased by cash, check, debit card payment, and by money order. To purchase, call or stop by the St. Paul office. Tickets will also be available the day of the tournament. Tickets cannot be purchased online due to MN gambling restrictions.
To participate, purchase a ticket to enter the raffle. Your ticket number will be matched to number placed on a golf ball, which will be dropped from a helicopter over a golf green at 5:50 p.m. The ticket holder with the ball that goes in the hole, or the ball that is closest, will win $1,000! Second closest wins $500.
You do not need to be present to win! All proceeds from the raffle will go to support the education of students in Guatemala.
The Helicopter drop will be conducted by Common Hope staff. If it is determined that the helicopter drop cannot occur due to weather or other unforeseeable conditions, a drawing will be held to determine the winning number. As soon as all balls have come to rest the measurement will be conducted. The ball that is in or closest to the cup will be determined to be the winner. In the event that two balls are exactly the same distance to the hole, the prize will be split between both participants. In the event that a ball lands in the hole, it will be determined to be the winner, if more than one ball lands in the hole, the prize will be split between all participants whose ball landed in the hole.
While the day is set aside for golf, we encourage you to keep in mind the true purpose of the tournament- to support the children and families of Guatemala. This year we are featuring the stories of nine students who are looking for sponsors. To learn more about these nine students, visit the 2016 Golf Sponsorship Gallery.
