Ticket Insurance Summary:

Travel Guard International – Air Ticket Protection Plan

Who : Any individual who is concerned they may have to cancel their trip due to one of the reasons listed below.

Why : Insures the cost of your airline ticket after purchase in the event that you have to cancel for any of the following reasons: sickness, accidental injury, death of traveling companion, family member or business partner, jury duty, subpoena, principal place of residence or destination made uninhabitable by fire, flood, or other natural disaster, terrorist attack on destination city, airline strike, or weather at the departure site which causes complete cessation of services of the carrier for at least 24 hours.

What :

Note: Rates subject to change.  Above rates do not include a $2 service fee.

Where : The insurance must be purchased through Travel Guard by calling 1-800-826-4117.

When : This insurance must be purchased within 7 days of Ticketing (the day tickets are issued, not when held or arrive in the mail). If beyond the 7th day you will still be able to purchase flight insurance, but it will simply be a different product and may or may not follow the pricing listed above

How : Individuals must call Travel Guard and provide the product # (007783), travel dates, name, address, date of birth, air carrier, and when the down payment was made. If you have questions regarding who to call, please contact the Vision Team Coordinator working with your team.
