Post-Graduation Release of Contact Information

It is Common Hope’s policy to keep all Sponsor and sponsored family data private in order to protect both parties. We believe this prevents any dependency or unhealthy interactions. Now that your sponsor-student relationship is ending, this release form allows Common Hope to share your contact information with the student and family that you previously sponsored.

By completing this document, you authorize Common Hope to release the contact information you provide on this form to your sponsored student. Ongoing methods of communication and translation will be a shared responsibility between you and your student. We will give this form to the student and his or her family, and they will choose whether to exchange their information through the contact information you have provided.

How to celebrate the success of the student you sponsor.

Congratulations!

With your support, encouragement and financial support, the student you sponsored has graduated from high school, an accomplishment achieved by only 25% of Guatemalans today and can double a person’s lifetime earning potential in Guatemala.

For your support of a graduated student, we extend our most sincere thanks.

As a way to recognize the conclusion of your sponsorship relationship, you have the opportunity to:

Write a final letter to the student
Offer your contact information
Give a gift to or in honor of the student

Please note, after graduation our Common Hope staff is not guaranteed to have contact with the student or their family. Please complete this process by no later than October 28th, 2024.

Celebrate with a gift.

If you’d like to contribute to your sponsored student’s graduation gift, you have two options. A donation to the Graduation Gift Fund in their honor will help provide a special gift for every graduating student, ensuring they all receive something meaningful.

Alternatively, if you prefer to send an individual gift, please ensure it arrives at our St. Paul office by October 23rd. This allows us enough time to deliver it to your student before the celebration. Please review our gift policy prior to purchasing a gift for the graduating student.
