Lafayette Veterans Memorial Hall was alive with energy as people gathered with a shared purpose: to change lives and foster positive change through education. The room was filled with new faces, and we are immensely grateful for your presence. A special shoutout to our long-time supporters for being extraordinary ambassadors, bringing in newcomers, and sharing our mission. When we gather with like-minded people, hope truly blooms!
We extend our gratitude to everyone who played a role in making Noche de Colores in the Bay Area a resounding success. We love hearing your stories and updating you on the exciting new initiatives on the horizon for Common Hope. Thank you to all who joined us, ready to give and support our mission.
The event raised an impressive $31,000 for Common Hope, supporting our four main programs in Guatemala: educational support, family development, housing and healthcare. Among the attendees were long-time supporters, dental teams who have provided care to over 1,300 students, and Rotary members who have helped build homes for families in need.
Executive Director Jocelyn Skolnik shared her heartfelt remarks, “I bring a profound belief in the power of community and collaboration to make a difference. Together, I am confident that we can achieve incredible things.” And that is exactly what this event did. This success marked the first time the organization had been in the Bay Area since 2019 and with this success Common Hope plans to return for another event in the near future.
Thank you, Bay Area, for making Noche de Colores a night to remember! Together, we are not just making futures bloom for students; we are creating generational change. Here’s to many more successful gatherings in the years to come! We excitedly look forward to another event in the Bay Area soon!
