Exciting News From Common Hope

ree

Common Hope | Familias de Esperanza is pleased to share an exciting update regarding our Executive Director search. The US Executive Board, in partnership with the Guatemalan Foundation Board, has unanimously selected a new leader for our organization; adding to our already dynamic and experienced leadership team.

In seeking the right leader for the future, we looked for someone with the attributes that would stand strong on our foundation and have the ability to lead into the future. Our leader must understand what Guatemalan families need to create financial empowerment and entrepreneurialism guided by integrity and well-being. They must embody our values and have a multicultural understanding to lead our team across countries and all of our sites.

We are overjoyed to share that Jocelyn Skolnik will be our next Executive Director. Jocelyn displays all of these qualities and more. She is an experienced nonprofit executive recognized nationally both in the United States and Guatemala. Her previous roles involved working directly with students and education systems. She has first-hand experience leading in her communities as a Guatemalan herself, as well as proven success leading organizations based in the United States.

Jocelyn will transition into the role later this month. We look forward to sharing more about opportunities to connect with her as she is integrated into our Common Hope community.
