Staff Spotlight: Nidya

Nidya is a longstanding staff member who has been part of our team in Guatemala for the past 18 years. Her journey with Common Hope began as a scholarship student, eventually earning her high school diploma in business administration. Nidya's dedication is driven by her passion for working with families, which she finds incredibly fulfilling.
According to Nidya, “Serving families is the most important thing for each of us who are here. When families come to Common Hope, we give them the encouragement to be able to move forward.”
Our team in Guatemala not only provides encouragement but also works closely with families through our comprehensive programs to address both short-term needs and long-term goals. Nidya's aspiration for these families is that through dedication to education, they will find hope and amidst any present challenge.
In her role within the Scholarships department at Common Hope, Nidya consistently contributes ideas to enhance the team's effectiveness. She ensures seamless collaboration between the social work and educational support teams, enabling her to create pathways for families to achieve their educational goals for their children. Proactivity is central to Nidya's approach. As she puts it, “I always like to act ahead, perhaps before they ask me.”
